The national cultural monument of the Konopiště castle is located approximately 5 km from the Konopiště Golf Resort. The castle, originally from the 14th century, was later rebuilt in the Romantic Gothic style. In 1887, František Ferdinand d'Este, the heir to the imperial throne since 1896, bought the castle with the entire estate. The castle is open to the public in several tours. The very extensive collection of František Ferdinand d'Este trophies is quite extraordinary. The greenhouses in the so-called "Rose Garden" are also famous.
